Here's a few pictures from tonight's gig. I put a new band together and this was our first show.
The kit sounded great and it looks pretty cool on stage.
They do look cool. Wondering what snare you played with. Just curious as I am looking to add to my collection. Can't decide on wood? or size?
Thanks, I used a 6.5x14 Tama Artwood snare for this gig, it's from the 80's and has a birch shell with a chrome finish. I only have two snares at the moment, the other is a 6.5x14 Ludwig Classic Maple. I need a few more, would like a clean supra, Jazzfestival and Pioneer.
Hey JR!
Great looking kit! Have you considered a Legacy Jazz Fest snare drum? I know they're a bit pricey, but I've heard lots of good things about them. Plus, you can get it in Oyster Black!

Dialtones. Something else that our grandchildren will know nothing about.
Excellent band name.
The harmonica player wanted a name that had something to do with phones, he suggested The Flip Tones, but the guitarist shot it down. So, I came up with The Dial Tones, we actually did a little poll during the gig and asked the audience what name they liked, they preferred The Dial Tones.
Your drums always look good, but can I make a constructive suggestion? Have a qualified, professional artist paint your bass drum reso heads with the band's name. Those hand drawn ones you have never look good, sorry to say.
Art is always in the eye of the beholder lol

Maybe that's the point?
Very punk rock....
We're not a punk band, I just scribbled the name on right before we went on. I'm actually a cartoon artist and if I took the time I could make it look better, but I sorta like the messy look.
Btw, the kick mic hanging off the t-rod was a last minute adjustment, I had a mic stand, but the harmonica player/vocalist needed it.
