What is Value of this Rare Condition Snare

Loading...

I have had this Ludwig Pioneer 1920/30 nickel over brass in my collection for many years. I even have the original key

It is all original. The wires and heads are in perfect condition and the nickel finish is pristine. It is an 8 lugger. I also sounds great.

I am trying to insure my collection and would appreciate any info as to what this snare might be worth.

Thank you

I went through all the Ludwig catalogues available on line and could not find a Pioneer with the engraving on the top hoop.. in the early 30's I found Pioneer as a round badge on the shell.

Does anyone know the year of this snare

The value is what some one will pay for it on that day that it is displayed. There's no guarantees with used Items. Find a comparable New Ludwig and give that Retail Price to the insurance man. He may fall for it.

What are they - new brass beauty- about 1300$ retail? that'll work
