DownTownFarmer...I did have my Rogers snare drum literally in my lap. It was on a Swivomatic mount from the bass drum. Most drummers I know have their snare drums in their laps on a snare stand.

Good point, though it might get crowded with the rack and ride cymbal there too. :)

Just riffing on your comment which I thought was funny in a good way.

Had to do a little December "weeding" on this thread. All tidied up again now, and with no loss of continuity! Not that easy to "weed" in December either ... your fingers get awfully cold, well contingent on where the one "weeding" lives anyway!
