There were all types of Swivomatic tilters and extension arms that could be added on to or substituted for the pieces on your little Rogers set. Without drilling any holes, the tom and the cymbal could be placed tight in your lap if you wanted them there.

I didn't have the cash or even thought about buying any extensions, I just set it up to see how it played as is.
That's a good answer. At that time you didn't know any better. I give you credit for learning how to work with a rail consolette tom mount to make it work for you.
hmm. never "got" Rogers but those about as sleek and sexy as I've seen lately
Absolutely gorgeous kit and might I add the holy grail IMHO. I would probably try to get the tilters Leedy mentioned, to get things a little more centered, although maybe not quite in my lap. :)
Congratulations!

But, what do I know...hahahahahaha?
DownTownFarmer...I did have my Rogers snare drum literally in my lap. It was on a Swivomatic mount from the bass drum. Most drummers I know have their snare drums in their laps on a snare stand.
I don't own the Tower kit in video anymore, made that video years ago, just wanted to show Amosguy that I had a similar kit.
