I just ordered a pair of Powersonic by UFIP hi hats. Got them cheap and was just wondering if anyone had any info on them? I figure they are entry level hats....but being made by UFIP is always a plus for me :) I also have a pair of Abraxis hi hats that I really like.

I can see the lathing rings on those. And if you measure the diameter accurately they should come slightly undersized at about 13 7/8". That's what my nominally 14" UFIP hats are.
Powersonic isn't one of the brands documented in Italian Vintage Drums and Cymbals (Luca Luciano, 2012, Agenda Publishing) perhaps because that book is more focused on vintage cymbals. Powersonic doesn't appear on the UFIP stencil brands list either, possibly for the same reason.
PowerSonic does appear as a brand of drums on this 2013 list of 902 brand names...but with no further info:

It isn't easy to search for now because Remo have a bass drum head of the same name.
Some of the brand names on the UFIP stencil brand list are drum companies if you compare that list with the list of Italian drum companies covered in Luciano's book. Then there are a number which we know about as cymbal brands or cymbals sold by companies based in the USA or Europe. But there are others I haven't accounted for yet.

Yeah, I searched google and couldn't find any info on "Powersonic". I at least know these are for sure made by UFIP since it says "by UFIP" underneath the "Powersonic" logo :)
