Not really a showpiece, IMO. It's funky and in need of some TLC, but it could be a showpiece with some work.

You put that drum -as it looks right now- on a table at a Drum Show and you'll have 45 guys around it in 5 minutes. I should have said Conversation piece... it's going over 300$..I predict 333.67

Really cool looking drum. I wouldn't change a thing about it. That thing has earned its patina after this long.

There is another (?) on eBay right now. Boy, do they look familiar!

We know how some people are attracted to certain types of drums. Some people will drool all over themselves about this drum. To others of us, it's a grungy old tin drum that holds no interest.

I agree. We shouldn't be in a rush to "restore" every old drum we come across. Some, like this one, should remain untouched. I'd play it in its as-is condition.
