Smooth White Coated Head?

Loading...

I saw this on a (new, not used) Pearl Piccolo Snare (the flat black steel one) at my local GC. Could it have been the stock head?

It seemed like a normal coated head to me. It wasn't smooth around the outside perimeter or anything. I contacted Remo to see if this was a new product or something. I haven't heard back from them yet.

Anyway, it could have been a misprint. I just thought it was funny!

While I was there, I was going to pick up a Clear Coated Smooth White Suede Renaissance Colortone Fiberskyn Ebony Starfire Pinstripe! LOL

Just picked one up myself to give it a go. Sounds like a Calftone, hydraulic, G2/G1 EC, Ambassador, clear, coated, red/black power dot drum head to me. I can't tell the difference!Excited

Seriously, I hear very good things about the Pearl piccolo drum. Supposed to have great sound for the money. Did you try it?
