I could not find a date inside the drum but A0125 is handwritten clear as day inside. anyone have any idea why it what it stands for?

My guess is that the drum belonged to a school at some point and that was some sort of marking from them. I have had a fair number of Ludwigs and never seen any marking like that on the shell interior. Usually there are only 3 markings: date stamp, shell diameter, and the random 1-2 letter quality control mark (I think that's what that was used for).

I would not be surprised if those markings were from a school. Could have been used for inventory.
