Explaining the different K Zildjian stamps.

Loading...

Hello,

Recently I try to obtain some old K Zildjians. I've seen different stamps from the 40s tot the 70s and I saw names like "old stamp", "old new stamp", "new stamp",...

I would like to know what type of stamps there are and what period they are from.

Pictures are verry welcome!

Thank you.

Nope. Sorry, but I can't help you there. I wouldn't know a thing about that.

I've heard that "new old stamps" are from 1967 to 1972 and "old stamps" are from the 50s.

Then you have "intermediate stamps", what period are they from?

Those are from the intermediate period, with reference to those others.

Then there's the REALLY old stamps.

And those.....are called Constantinoples.

Ok, so "intermediate" stamps are from the beginning of the 60s?

They have a small star above the moon while "new old" and "new" stamps have a larger star?

And then there's the REALLY, REALLY, old stamps.

And those don't even have any moon, star, or anything you can read on them.

Just a bunch of friggin squiggly lines.

By the way:

Are you the guy who just bought the 20" intermediate stamp from me?

In the meantime, check this out. It's going to take a long time to download, especially of you don't have cable service. So just click download, and then go out for dinner or something. By the time you get back it should be ready to roll.
