The seller got back to me and said, "Thanks, but your (error) mixed up." I sent him an email back and said, "You're welcome, but your finish is called New England White and I'm not mixed up." I attached a photo from an old Rogers catalog.

I guess White Cortex was Ludwig?

Think the price might be a bit ambitious. The larger sizes will narrow down the market a bit, but also unusual setup will attract someone looking for larger sizes. Might need to have some patience, but should get close to his price.

It is not good practice to use "asking" prices to determine real world value. Only "sold" prices should be considered. "Asking" prices may be a barometer of how delusional or uninformed a particular seller may be (lol) otherwise they are relatively worthless.

If this kit was the deal of a lifetime it would already be gone!

I'm not an expert, so to my eyes, that seems like a lot of nice condition, matching, all-American, high quality, classic sized drums in one nice neat and highly coveted, BR style package.

Exactly! Always check "sold" prices to get current value. Drums in better condition will always go for more. As to Dynasonics, I'm just not seeing them selling for $500 anymore. Around $350-$400 for VG quality examples seems to be the norm. I did pay almost $500 for my 1966 7-line, but that was quite some years ago, when prices were higher. Still, there are always exceptions when it comes to price.

And, yes, the sizes of the kit in question will be a limiting factor.

Looking at his ad, I think he meant the Rogers BR Headliner kit, which is not pictured, is WMP. Maybe that's why he said you were mixed up.

Surprised he wouldn't picture both kits to avoid confusion and make it an easier sell...

I looked at the kit today. It’s exactly what he says, a vintage Rogers kit, in New England White. Everything is there. It needs a good cleaning, but that’s part of the fun.

The Dynasonic snare is great, and not available separately.

It’s a large kitchen! 24–13–14-18–18! He offered to lower the price if the buyr want only one 18.

He also has a very nice Rogers Buddy Rich kit in WMP.

There are two Ludwig snares that aren’t for sale. Both vintage. A Supra and a Super Sensitive. It may be possible to twist his arm on those.

Ron is a good guy. A straight shooter who knows the drums.

Still sounds like a good deal to me, but what do I know? That's a boatload of quality drums for that price. Has he gotten any bites? Admittedly those sizes would take up a good chunk of the basement, but man, I can only imagine the sound they would put out on stage!

I was the one who turned him onto Rogers....He used to stop to my house...He even thanked me for turning him onto them!’.He Found a Silver Sparkle 6.5 by 14 wood Dyna some years back..for not much $$!
