Rogers kit with Dynasonic 1100 in Kalamazoo CL

Not sure where to post this but I did want to pass it on. He’s asking 1100.

I don’t know what it is (besides huge). At this point he’s not interested in selling the snare separately. It looks like a helluva deal to me....but I know zero about Rogers.

Any thoughts on the price?

I'm not a Rogers expert either, but I don't think you need to be! Geez, that does seem like a steal. There are a lot of fine American-made drums there for that money. That snare alone has to be $500 or better. And I think that color, while plain, is sort of rare for Rogers.

Can't wait to hear from the experts on this one.

Me too. We’ll see what’s what. This could be the proverbial ‘car in a barn’ type deal. Or not.

As far as I can tell, this finish, New England White, was offered from 197 to 1976.

I don’t know much about Rogers drums, but Ive worked on lots of Swivomatic pedals. I believe the 73 to 76 period was in Fullerton. The pedal materials and build went downhill.

I don’t need another snare ... I was just hoping .....

Well, I hope to learn more!

I emailed the seller and told him he had white cortex and not white marine pearl.

Blairn is correct - $300 to $350 is the market rate for well-preserved 5 line 60s Dynasonics. A 7-Line may well bring $500.

Well, going off of EBay "asking" prices, I'm hard pressed to find any Dynasonics under $500, except for some Big R models. I know these aren't the final sale prices, but it's still a barometer for pricing.

I thought we would hear more from the experts on the original question, is this the deal of a lifetime or just ok? Although maybe all of the Rogers experts are racing each other to Kalamazoo to pick these babies up!:D
