Update...
All the COS hoops, (13, 14, 16) have been cleaned and polished. It was a laborious process, due to rust on all hoops. First, I had to clean all the hoops with my solution of Dawn and rubbing off the rust with aluminum foil. All the hoops were towel dried, followed by an application of Mother's Chrome Polish and hand buffing. While not showroom condition, they are clean and shiny. I didn't take pictures this time!
Also, all the Memriloc hardware, plus the Swivomatic floor tom brackets, have also been cleaned and polished. Removing rust from the textured satin finish of the Memriloc tubes proved tough, but I found ways to deal with this. While not perfect, every part looks so much better than the condition they were in when I brought the kit home!

Well, I just took a look at the front bass drum hoop. Found two places where the outer ply is separating. I never noticed this! DOH Guess I'll be using those custom made hoop brackets again! LoLoLoLo

Hi Kevin!
I had a tension rod that was bent, so just took some pictures to show you how I straighten them. I insert the tension rod into a lug nut, then insert it into my vice. Using my brass hammer, I tap on the head in the opposite direction of the bend. Depending on how bad the bend is, this process can take anywhere from a few minutes to around 10 minutes! Many times, the bend is barely noticeable after repair. Other times, I'm no so lucky! But, I can usually get them back straight enough where they'll turn without binding in the lug nut.
