Drum Poll....Kits looks good, bad?????

Loading...

I have several kits with solid color (sparkle) wraps and I wanted to do something a little crazy/different on a drum kit I recently bought. The picture of the material/wrap definitely looks different than how it was pictured/advertised. But it was listed as a holographic material, so I guess I should have expected it show to up different colors, lol. In some lighting it is copper, yellow and green. Others angles/lighting it is straight up pink and purple. I haven't taken it outside yet, but it will probably look totally different than indoor lighting. I'm curious what you guys think :) Here is a video so you can get a better idea of what it looks like: [ame="https://youtu.be/J-al2OLrWs4?t=54"]https://youtu.be/J-al2OLrWs4?t=54[/ame]

I voted above.

While it's not really my cup of tea, I think it's cool solely because depending on the lighting, you could have 10 different drum kits in one!

Thanks! I am on the fence...I think is cool as well because of how it changes color at different angles and lighting. My main issue is that the pic for the material before I ordered it, showed it mainly being copper and green and it seems to show pink and purple more of the time. I may need to take it outside and see what it looks like :) I have 3 daughters and they really like the way it looks, maybe one of them will want it one day Clapping Happy2

I hope you enjoy it, but I'll be charitable and just say its not something that appeals to me. But, that doesn't matter. The only important thing is whether it appeals to you?

I figured alot of people wouldn't like it. I still don't know how I feel about it, lol. It looks better in person though and you can see the colors change when moving around it which is pretty cool :)

Here is a video I uploaded of it...gives a better idea of what it looks like: [ame="https://youtu.be/J-al2OLrWs4?t=54"]https://youtu.be/J-al2OLrWs4?t=54[/ame]

You were looking for crazy/different, and you definitely got it!Eye Ball

I'm kidding. I gave you a, it looks cool, vote. It really is pretty cool in its own way. I'm more of a sparkle/solid color wrap guy overall, but I know you have a lot of kits, so I can understand your desire to get crazy.

So yeah, it's cool, I would play it.

Thanks Jimmy...I am like you, I prefer a good sparkle wrap too :) You are right about having alot of kits (I'm up to 11 now)...and this is definitely the "most unique/extra wrap I have, lol

With 11 kits, you needed something different to keep things interesting.

I'm sure your going to get a variety of comments from your YouTube video! Good luck!

I’m just dazed and confused

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
