Day late

Just for posterity, i'm attaching the CL pics that I saved so everyone can see what we were talking about.

The Ludwig lot sold for $1550 p/s and was sold to a party over the phone. The Yamaha lot sold for $550, in person.

What that says about the market, I can't really say. All I know is that respondents to the CL ads, listed for only a day, were email-invited to show up at the residence between Wilmington DE and Philadelphia to bid on the two lots. The fact that phone-ins were allowed makes it harder to claim whether or not this was a local or national market sale.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

No, I think that is a snare without its pants.

I see no center bead and single tension lugs on it. The rug can't be that deep, Can it ?

It's an MIJ snare without the bottom hoop. No bead to be had, and that's the throw off you're seeing.
