Here's another cool drum kit. Joe Butler of "The Lovin' Spoonful." March 1968 at Buffalo NY State Teachers' College. In the gym.
Joe normally played a black Ludwig Super Classic with an extra floor tom...For this gig, and for the remainder of the Spoonful's gigging (with John Sebastian as lead singer), Joe used two sets of timbales and a stationary hi hat mounted atop his black bass drum. Definitely a unique sound to his kit!
