Seems like the Ludwig stands I have do not go low enough for 6.5" deep snare drum. I like my snare at about 25" high. Any suggestions?
Best stand for 6.5" snares?
Thank you!

I soon will. I have the same issue as you. I got a beat up 60's luddy and all the plastic stripped and I'm down to using pliers to turn them all. My first SONOR stand got stolen with my 506. My 505 is 5 3/4 and it sits too high. I adjusted the throne but that effects my Speed King. I like to have knees at rest, not extended. Posture is almost everything behind a kit.

Hey Jeff!
Pearl made a low snare stand back in the 80's and 90's. I have one that goes with my custom painted 2006 Pearl kit. It looks pretty much like this one for sale over at eBay... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Pearl-Snare-Drum-Stand-Single-Braced/173872063156?hash=item287b9522b4:g:PL4AAOSwGUpcRkix
The design of the basket gets the drum down fairly low!

DW Made one in the early 2000's I own one, it's a 9000 series stand built like a tank, love it.
Light weight is a selling point for me. With my 6 1/2 snare, I’m using the Yamaha Crosstown snare stand. It feels sturdy to me, but I don’t hit hard. A fair price, too.

Hey, thank you I will check that out as well. Weight is not a factor because I dont gig anymore but price is a factor.
Thank you!
