The flesh hoop on the bottom snare head has suffered some serious UV fading or is an older head of some kind (Canopus, Campo?). Don't know about the rest of the drum.

It's an early-to-mid 60's Star-built snare drum, catalog number 2256. I have a "Mitchell" snare drum in my collection, with the same lugs, strainer and muffler. Also attaching a catalog picture of the same snare drum, but in a metal shell, no. 3256. Where do I collect my prize?!!! LoLoLoLo

Hey now look it,...He didn't ask for brand or model, he only asked what kind it was. I got it first try.

If he wanted brand and model,...I would have said it's a early to mid 60's Star-built snare drum , catalog number 2256. I don't have a Mitchell snare drum in my collection but it would have the same lugs, strainer and muffler. I couldn't attach a picture because I don't have one of the metal shell, no. 3256.

Wanna buy my prize before we know what it is ??

Ok...formal protest! LoLoLoLo

The fact that it is an Apollo drum is irrelevant. It's still a Star drum! I want my money back after walking around the block til I passed out! WalkingLoLoLoLo
