Suddenly Inherited Rodgers Kit From Brother

Thank You!

The hardware is all there except for some nuts to secure the cymbals. The stands need cleaning though. So much to think about!

Thank you for your honesty! The kit has some history to it and was played in many bars and other places. In the end is was not stored in the most optimal place. I know he was proud of it, but was so ill in the end. There are some members who are local and have contacted me. I do not feel so at a loss of what to do. Thank you so much!

Hi all!

I've been in touch with Catherine via both PM and personal email. Thankfully, she is not in a rush to deal with the set. When the time is right for her, we will meet and discuss everything. At this point in time, I don't feel she needs to schlep all the way out to Pro Drum for information that I can provide. I feel confident that I know what's important with vintage Rogers drums and what is not. When the time comes to take pictures, I'll post them here for everyone to weigh in on.

Catherine, thanks for joining our community. Everyone is here to help!

Hi OddBall! Are you referring to me? If so, no, I'm not going to scoop them up! My only intention is to catalog exactly what Catherine has and to come up with a fair asking price. We don't yet know what lugs are present and any other details. The best scenario is that the kit will just need a good cleaning. Can't make any guesses until such time as I actually see the kit. Again, Catherine isn't in a rush. Will keep everyone informed!

Just from our brief communications, yes, Catherine is a very nice person. I'm really glad she found our forum rather than to just throw caution to the wind and sell them off for cheap. They may be valuable, they may be not. There's no real way to assess them until I can inspect them in person.
