Buying Direct From Delmar?

Has anyone bought drum wrap directly from Delmar? I was looking over their wrap this morning and was really impressed with some of the more "out there" wraps that we don't normally see from Jammin' Sam, Precision Drum, etc.

I have reached out to them and you have to buy a large quantity to buy direct. They may have changed their policies since I last contacted them. If there is something specific you see, Precision Drum is usually pretty good at getting it for you.

Hope this helps

Michael

I buy all my drum wraps from STDRUMS Germany. They also have a good stock of parts shells and all sorts of drum services you may require. A great place for delmar wrap plus lots of other wraps. Check them out....sean

I called Precision Drum in NY and they can pretty much get any Delmar wrap I want, pending availability. I'm still pondering the restoration of my original Slingerland set and using a non-standard wrap. You guys might say, "use something period-correct," but Delmar has wraps that are very nice that didn't exist in 1964.

I wish Delmar would recreate the original Mardi Gras pearl. The Walopus version isn't quite right.

Hi DrumBob!

Delmar did produce a short run of Mardi Gras pearl for Precision Drum. Precision had to guarantee a minimum order to get the wrap. Many of our members, including myself, pooled our money to get the wrap! I sent a Pearl shell to PDC to have it properly wrapped. Here are some pictures.

That Mardi Gras looks pretty nice. I bought Mardi Gras wrap from Walopus and would say it's just OK. I had Precision rewrap a Slingerland snare drum of mine in Capri Pearl. They had some left over that was supposed to be for another customer who had them get it from Delmar and then never followed through.

Andrea at Precision is trying to get Delmar's Black Galaxy wrap for me. I had to send her a swatch sample, because the people at Delmar couldn't tell her if they had it or not! It's right on their home page. Unbelievable.
