I've owned and gigged with several satin flame drum sets since that type of wrap first came into use. Several years ago, I had accumulated some orphan drum shells that needed new wrap. This included some Ludwig bongos and a piccolo snare that I built from new parts. I figured what the hell. Between the stash of odds and ends that I had and some leftover wrap scraps from a friend, I came up with what I called a clown barf drum set. I traded this set (not the bongos) and another decent old set for one nice set at a drum shop. Guess which one sold first, and brought in the asking price. Yep... good old clown barf.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

That clown barf set was so much fun to create that I proceeded to wrap some other orphan shells in White 3-D Moire. Shortly after completing this project, a friend's store took an original Camco Tuxedo snare in trade. The snare was as close to a perfect match for this bop set as could be. I still have the little Leedy set with the Camco snare.

Very cool project and it looks great. What sizes are the Leedy?

Looks good JR. How about some serials? Just for fun I'm guessing between 150xxx and 250xxx.

I'm partial to Coco Puffs, I also like Raisin Bran, but it tends to mess with my sensitive tummy.Hurting

The bop set is comprised of: 1950's Slingerland 16x18 marching bass drum retrofitted with Leedy lugs; 1960's 12x16 Leedy marching tenor drum conversion to floor tom; 1940's Leedy 7x11 mounted tom; 1960's Camco Tuxedo 5x14 snare.
