Is that an outer ply or a wrap ? It don;t look like a wrap. How wide is the re-ring ?

From Hobbs

An outer ply; I yanked the black wrap off. Re-ring = 15/16" -1" ~ closer to 15/16".

A finish ply ? I ask because another wrap would lap under the joint,...I think. I don't see that.

Looks to be mahogany-poplar-mahogany with solid maple re-ring. Several manufacturers used that combination. It appears the wrap did NOT go into the scarf joint, is that correct?

Hobbs, what is the hole spacing (center to center) for:

1) Lugs

2) Leg mounts

3) Muffler

Do all the holes appear factory original to you?

Hobbs, your measurements do not match Slingerland. I agree that looks like a quality shell. Somebody here should be able to identify it given all the information you've supplied. Where's idrum4fun, K.O., or mlayton? This one shouldn't be that hard.
