The lugs sure look like Star to me but, I've been wrong a few times in my life! Hmmm...the tom mount looks Star as well.

Looks like 1960’s Slingerland. No vent holes or badge on toms before the late ‘60’s. They stamped ‘P’ for drums destined to get a pearl wrap.

Definitely a Slingerland! It's an early 60's, with an inner ply of African Mahogany! Very cool!

Hey Mark ~Looking at the date stamp it looks like OCT 16 1956 or 58.Thanks for the response!

Yes, the more I think about it, I believe it is a late 50's! The P-020 stamp and style of lug screw is consistent with this vintage.

Per Dr. Carl Wenk the double slot lug screws were first used in '57, so an Oct. 1958 date stamp makes sense. It is interesting that there is also an "M" stamp (designated an outer ply of maple) as well as the P-020 stamp (mahogany outer ply). Could be the M stamp was just a mistake or this may be a maple outer ply shell that was factory wrapped (known to happen). If a maple outer ply shell head fit may be snug.
