Here are some more pics. Plus 1 pic from the 1968 brochure with info on this snare drum. The badge & hoops confirm the date. The snare drum has been well looked after all these years.

Nice, COB. My understanding is the beer barrel hoops and badge are the marks to look for.

Looks like that one is.

I really like vintage Premier snare drums! Especially those with the Flo-beam strainer system. I was considering getting this Premier snare drum shell on eBay, complete with the strainer system. I have two complete sets of premier snare drum lugs, one from the 60's and the other from the 70's. But, what's the point when the snare wires are virtually non-existent?!! https://www.ebay.com/itm/143322800358?ViewItem=&item=143322800358

If you ever need premier 2000 wires i can get them here in the UK for £14. If you want royal ace wires then make two end plates and solder 2000 wires onto the plates ive done it in the past. The only chance of buying royal ace wires is on ebay 2nd hand. Then they charge top dollar. I just make em up. Ive not done many made 3 sets in past 2 yrs. That royal ace shell u should buy it then ill make you some wires for it. On strainer and butt the pins that hold the wires are missing. Ive even got a badge and muffler for it. Would look nice in WMP wrap. The pearl FF im making my own wires for that using an old set of standard wires on proper engraved pearl end plates. De solder the crappy wires and solder extra long wires from prem 2000 set. Nothing is impossible mark. Let me know and between us could make a great snare drum.

0655M is the Premier part number. They’re still made and they work fine.

Which is not true. For everyone looking for Royal Ace wires: I found a guy from Serbia on a facebook forum, who manufactures them! He even can produce them in two different thicknesses, awsome guy! And he only charges 20 Euros for it.

Just check the Vintage Premier Drums forum on fb and search for Zoran.
