Here's A Nice MIJ Set Priced Right

Loading...

Hello Black Label sure thing

I don't mind being the bad example in this case

O-lugs my drum space shown is called West Shore Drum Loft

but is not a shop just a warehouse and not very accessible to any sort of walk in business

I do have a brand new selling place, By the same name

mostly for used entry and intermediate level drums

that I have picked up over the years.

lots of Pearl Exports and Tama Swingstars ect ect

the space is small but much more accessible

I was until recently a very active buyer and collector

and have only just begun with any form of selling but I am moving a few kits here and there.

So far it seems I have only paid for the privilege to give away the drums

hopefully that will change as we motor on

I have a small selection of my MIJ collection on display there

But am not interested in selling them YET!

Yes, I believe Kenny would take the title as the King of Vintage MIJ.

More importantly, I am glad that he and the seller (of the kit in question in this thread) have come to a better understanding of each other and the discussions had.

Kenny is a great guy and always very generous with his knowledge and help to any and all vintage drum enthusiasts.

Who ended up with that kit? Nice score, even for $400. I agree it was the right price and appreciate the seller releasing them to a good home. Best Regards to him and his ambition - big respects for anyone who works 3 jobs. Period.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Thanks for the kind words. The drums sold to a very appreciative elder gentleman who was very happy with his purchase, I even threw him in a WFL snare stand , assembled the snare w/ working wires and a pair of sticks. They went to a good home .

I was watching a very nice gold sparkled Stewart 4 drum set in VGC and all-original on E Bay. Just needed new drum heads. It went for a very modest $257. Looked like a heck-of-a good deal to my somewhat inexperienced eye.

Guess there are still bargains to be had!

Yes, there are still "bargains" to be had, but they're becoming rare through normal channels, such as eBay, CL and Reverb. The majority of these sellers equate vintage MIJ with high prices. We all know that many of these offerings never sell. There are exceptions!
