New Pictures of Mystery Slingerland 30's Snare

This is a follow-up post to my original.

I have taken some closeup pictures which might help identify is this snare is a Professional. Universal or Orchestra snare.... All of which have been suggested but nothing every found in the catalogs to match exactly.

Shell is light brass and hoops are steel.

There are no extra holes by the throw however the inside nuts/washer looks rather shiny.... but so do all the screws attaching the tube lugs and inside butt plate... The clips are all original as said except for one.

Does this help identify.

I am a collector and need to classify this snare

I had the twin to your drum until 2005 when I sold it.

FWIW The buyer and a few others I had inquired with said it was a Professional model.

You had the same black finish and the 4 point throw with 8 lugs?

How did it sound

It sounded okay except every time I did a rimshot the strainer popped off.

John Aldridge told me it wasn't a "top of the line" drum because it only had a single bead, not a triple bead like the "good stuff".
