Rogers powertone question

Loading...

Hello Friends - I have not been on the site for quite some time. Good to be back. Musicgoround is selling what seems to be a Powertone piccolo snare . The ad reads 13 inch and looks like a 4 inch depth. I am no expert but I have never seen a Powertone with those dimensions. Is this drum legit? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Yes legit. A much later offering I think under the Brooks May days. Or Yamaha. I don't know the later Rogers history well sorry!

The offered drum is a "Rogers" in name only. It's a MIT (Made In Taiwan) drum and has no actual Rogers heritage. It's overpriced by almost $150. Honestly, I wouldn't pay more than $50-$75 for the drum. And that's only if I just had to have it! The "Rogers" script badge is worth about $25. Oh, and calling it a Powertone is really pushing things. It's NOT a Powertone!
