I'm looking for some help with this Slingerland Two to One COB

Loading...

Straightened out (mostly!) cleaned and polished.

Just waiting on the Pearl wires (S-025), Remo heads and a new case coming.

I will post pictures when it is all assembled.

Thanks for your help!

Forgot to mention about that rubber washer on the TDR strainer. A seller on eBay is offering NOS Slingerland rubber washers. At $20, they're expensive! However, I did purchase one so I can see if I can find comparable tubing to duplicate it. I've received the NOS washer and it's in great shape! You might want to consider one for your restoration. Thanks for the tip - I just bought some rubber plumbing washers from a local store and butchered them to fit! By the third one it was good enough.

It won't win any aesthetic awards, but it is functional!

I've used everything from plumbing washers to black rubber hole grommets. And, yes, they have always been "good enough"! I was crazy to spend $20 on that NOS washer, but will use it to find comparable material. I'm really surprised that no one is offering these yet!

Mark,

Not crazy at all. The seller claims that washer is also used on the Zoomatics. Do you agree with that? Looks too large.

Hi Slingerfan!

No, I don't think these were used for the Zoomatic. I believe those rubber pieces would have been half the thickness of what is being offered.

Here's a picture of a GK Sound King snare drum I had some years ago. You can still see the gum rubber washer, which has already begun to dry and crack, but still in decent shape. No way would the offered rubber piece fit in there!
