Are These Badges Worth This?

From nittanyperc

Not all of the 50 known Gladstone Snares are accounted for, these badges are most likely ones that never made it on a drum... no, there won't be any more made, but the cost is insane. IMHO

If they sell at that price, there will be thousands, new, made by somebody.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

What would be the chance that these are reproductions?

Cheers

It makes sense that Billy Gladstone would have had extra parts lying about, but I just don't see the justification in the price either.

On a side note, Ted Reed (Syncopation) who had studied with Billy, started collecting all the Gladstones he could find starting in the 60's. He had about 9-10 by the time he retired and sold all of them to an old college friend of mine for about $9k in the early 90's I believe.

What's more amusing than the asking price, is the fact that the seller wants the buyer to pay shipping cost! Com'on! After getting $4500 for three badges, you can't cover the $20 shipping cost???

So has the Brooklyn Bridge.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I've emailed Morris Lang about these. I'm hoping he can sort this out.
