A local music shop has a nice all original Rogers blue sparkle Tower snare he took in on trade. It's very dirty, but all there, no wrap separation, no issues, beavertail lugs, Cleveland badge.
What would be a fair price for me to offer?

Tower snare drums are excellent! The differences between the Tower and Powertone are the strainer, butt and interior paint. I converted my Tower to a Powertone. It's one of the best sounding snare drums I own! I paid $200 for mine, but that was back in 2012. It was all original, except for heads. Also in blue sparkle! Offer $200 and see what happens.

Thank you. $200 was what I had in mind. I have a good relationship with the store owner. I think I'll start at $150 and see if that works.
Yours looks great. This one I saw today is filthy, but it will clean up nicely. He also has a matching Rogers 9x13 tom from the same set presumably, but it's beat to hell, and a previous owner installed a Slingerland mounting bracket on it. I told him he could probably get $80-100 for it as a project drum.
When were the Cleveland Rogers drums made?
I was very fortunate to get my Tower for $200. It was incredibly clean, too! Rogers drums with "Cleveland" tags go up to 1966. By 1967, they would be "Dayton" tags. The drums were still all made in Covington, with the difference being where they were warehoused.
A friend of mine made me a custom adapter, so I could mount the die-cast Swivo butt to the original holes for the stamped butt used on the Tower.

Thanks again for the info. I hope the one I found will look as nice as yours. All it needs is new heads as far as I could see.
And, it needs a lot of elbow grease!
