Least HOF Worthy Bands/Artists

Queen had great melodies and harmonies, VH did not. Ringo didn't do anything for drumming? Try to copy his playing or come up with parts for a song that are unique. Nobody sounded like Ringo. No, he's not my favorite drummer, Buddy holds that honor, not just because of his technique, but his creativity. Ringo definitely had that creative side and his timing is spot on.Ringo influenced more kids to want to play the drums than any drummer before or after him.

Maybe you read it with anger or something because Ringo was in the band that practically created rock n Roll. I don`t mean anything bad about the guy, just that he don`t stick out as a wild drummer. They should be the first band in the R&R HOF. Again,Queen did nothing for me.

You can like or dislike anyone you want, it doesn't mean I have to agree with you. In my book there's no comparison between Queen and VH. Queen had the whole package, VH had a fancy guitarist and a womanizing front man.I won't even say what I think about your Ringo comment.Coffee Break2

I agree 100% with johnnyringo on this one. I have seen Ringo a number of times and each time I did, I appreciated him more! The gentleman is a metronome! Like johnnyringo states, he is also a very creative individual. Check out "Rain" or "Come Together". When I saw Ringo on the Sullivan show in 1964, I knew what I wanted to learn to play! After all of these years, I still deeply respect and admire his virtuosity! Brian

This is assuming everyone has the same taste in music as you do. I like the beatles music, back in the 60`s to today,...They invented the HOF for the Beatles. To me, a creative Rock n Roll drummer goes beyond 4 drums. 4 is all you ever really need, but that`s not creativity.

I wouldn't put Buddy Rich in with Rock and Roll. We`re not talking talent, we`re talking rock n roll.

I only said that Buddy was my favorite drumner, it had nothing with the R&R Hall of fame.

Btw, a good drummer doesn't rely on how many drums he has to be creative.

Sometimes the approach to drumming is what differentiates the drummer.

I never cared for most Led Zeppelin tunes, but I can certainly appreciate what Bonham did for drumming.

Likewise, I think Stewart Copeland pioneered an entirely different approach to rock drumming: who else used his hi-hats and tiny splash cymbals to such great effect?

And I have never heard Phil Rudd of AC/DC play anything wild and fantastic, yet everything he plays is fantastically perfect for the tune.

So much of what we are discussing is subjective.

Totally agree it`s subjective. Music is an acquired taste. People like different styles. I shouldn't be labeled a bad guy because I didn't like Queen or the Doors,.. or whatever. They simply didn't fit my taste.
