Least HOF Worthy Bands/Artists

Just a random question to you on a ho-hum day: any bands or singers that made in the Rock Hall of Fame that you feel don't deserve to be there?

Though I like The Cars, the music is fun, but it's unattractively dated. Did they contribute anything to the progression of Rock? Not really. Their best song in my opinion might be "You Might Think" or "Drive".

Other than that their music doesn't inspire me.

Any additions? Thanks!

Queen didn't do it for me. I find them annoying more than entertaining.

Sorry Queen fans. I don't hate the band, just don't think they had much for me.

I hope that Halen vote was with Sammy or Gary,...Roth was a influence on Rock n Roll and one hell of a front man that could sing and perform.

Yes, any band/artist who didn't play rock shouldn't be in the hall of fame.

Queens music will live on much like the Beatles.

Van Halen did nothing for r&r, those Eddie Van Halen guitar riffs were annoying and not very musical. Roth was arrogant and sounded like a cat when you pull it's tail. They totally butcherd You Really Got Me and Pretty Woman.

Last I checked, music is to one's taste. I think it still is.

Eddie was supposed to be the star of the band, but the hundreds of thousands who went to their concerts over the years,... liked David better. In a band, that's who you wanna be. VH was doomed from the start.

Ringo played drums for the beatles, didn't do a whole lot for drumming but is one of the most popular drummers the planet ever seen, that's also who you wanna be in a band.

I, ...just wanna be in a band.

I`ve never been to a Queen concert, but I don't think they brought in the potheads and chicks that big hair bands did. That's entertainment both on stage and in the audience.

You can like or dislike anyone you want, it doesn't mean I have to agree with you. In my book there's no comparison between Queen and VH. Queen had the whole package, VH had a fancy guitarist and a womanizing front man.

I won't even say what I think about your Ringo comment.Coffee Break2

Yeah Bon Jovi isn't rock. They were lumped in with the hair band genre when they first were on the scene.

Queen is odd. I love a lot of their music. It seems like it was weirdly out of tune and not produced well. I don't know how to explain it better.

Queen had great melodies and harmonies, VH did not. Ringo didn't do anything for drumming? Try to copy his playing or come up with parts for a song that are unique. Nobody sounded like Ringo. No, he's not my favorite drummer, Buddy holds that honor, not just because of his technique, but his creativity. Ringo definitely had that creative side and his timing is spot on.Ringo influenced more kids to want to play the drums than any drummer before or after him.

I agree 100% with johnnyringo on this one. I have seen Ringo a number of times and each time I did, I appreciated him more! The gentleman is a metronome! Like johnnyringo states, he is also a very creative individual. Check out "Rain" or "Come Together". When I saw Ringo on the Sullivan show in 1964, I knew what I wanted to learn to play! After all of these years, I still deeply respect and admire his virtuosity!

Just a drummer who loves all things about vintage drums! Nothing more, nothing less.
