I've got a Ludwig & Ludwig mount of some sort and I'm trying to determine what it actually is and does. Any "words of wisdom" would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time and your help!

It's the No. 558 cowbell holder! I found it in the 1922 Ludwig catalog at drumarchive.com. It looks pretty darn good for its age!

Had not seen this catalogue before.... so OldSchool the other foot cymbal mount is also explained there on page 46... Great catalogue .. it's an education for any drummer to have a read of..CheersJohn
I totally agree with you, John, and I did see the foot cymbal mount in there. Who said that you can't teach old dogs new tricks? This "old dog" is constantly learning something new thanks to fellow forum members like Mark and others!
