Camco

Loading...

I'm hoping that one of you CAMCO experts out there would be kind enough to take a look at the attached pic and let me know if the company EVER issued floor tom legs or mounts as seen in the pic. I say no, but I'd love to hear from the experts. Also, the rim on the floor tom in the pic doesn't appear to be an original CAMCO rim to me, either. Am I correct? Thanks in advance for your time and your help!

Those legs and mounts do not look correct but I am no expert for sure. Is there a badge on the drum? The whole thing looks a little suspicious.

Thank you!

Hey, Jeff. There are badges on the bass drum and the rack tom, so I "assume" there's one on the floor tom, too. Attached is a pic of the badge on the other two drums.

Rims do not look correct.

The drums look like they have been stripped including the chrome on the lugs.

Legs are not original Camco legs either.

The leg mounting hardware even has gaskets... I'm no Camco expert but I would say that aint original.

I attached an image from a friends set for reference. The pic is from an old photo I scanned so the resolution won't be very good, and unfortunately I can't access some other detailed images that I have in a Nikon NEF format..

Here's a picture I tried to take with my phone and inserted directly from the phone which is something I rarely do so I'm not sure how good it will turn out. But this is a Mount and leg and a good shot of the hoop from my Oak Lawn kit. Notice how the hoop has a rolled Edge

Thanks, Wayne. The rims don't look right to me, either. I thought the same as you regarding the shells. I thought perhaps the lugs were nickel, based on their poor condition. I also appreciate your input regarding the legs.
