Sounds pretty cool! Where did you hear this info? I just did an internet search, but nothing comes up.

I'm sure pics will be up tomorrow after the first day of NAMM.

Am I wrong in assuming that the OBP reissue closely resembles the $30,000 Starr Festival snares, except for the modern throw and unsigned shell?

The "new" Jazz Festivals are now on the Ludwig website!

Well...I really wish they would have gone with a P-83 reproduction strainer. IMHO, the new P88AC seems a bit out of place with the BB muffler. Speaking of the muffler, I wonder if it is the original design or if they went with the Canopus BB muffler. For anyone interested, the Canopus BB does not fit existing holes for vintage Ludwig BB mufflers.

Still, what is cool is that the airvent/badge and muffler are placed in the proper panels for a 1963-64 Jazz Festival!

I just read the description of the muffler on the Ludwig website. It does say "3-step baseball bat tone-control", so, to me, that implies that they are using the Canopus muffler. I'll post some pictures of this muffler on my 2016 Classic Maple JF-style snare drum.
