Rarity of a Ludwig Keystone Badge 14" x 14" Club Date Floor Tom

Loading...

Greetings,

I have a lead on a mis-matched Keystone badge Club Date kit. Both have white interiors. Just bass drum and rack tom, no floor tom included. I have to re-wrap at least one of the drums as it is, because the wraps don't match, so finish/wrap is not important. Or I could go full jelly bean!

What would be my odds of finding one? And assuming "decent" condition (not immaculate, not trashed), what do you think the price range would/should be?

Thanks for your help,

V

First off the club date is the easier of the 2 to find , it’s just that there hoarded and no help in site , even the most common colors are getting harder to find .

Good luck on your quest !

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

But try finding one for a club date in Galaxy Sparkle.

Took a LONG time!

I think there are a couple on ebay/reverb right now actually..

I don't think they are particularly rare but they can be hard to find as singles. I searched for a couple of years to find one in WMP, which I figured would be a very common color. It seemed common enough...if I wanted to buy a whole set just to get one drum. But in the end I did find one (and paid quite a bit for it).

However when I was hunting for a super classic 14x14 in Blue sparkle it seemed as though a club date version popped up on ebay about every other week.

Hunting for almost any floor tom can turn out to be a long process...seems to be the nature of the beast.

What colour is the wrap on the bass drum and rack tom?

The bass is red sparkle and the rack tom is silver sparkle.

Took me three years and 400.00 to find a sky blue 14 to complete my kit. So patience and money is the key.

Thank you!
