Bummer it is isn't all original as that is really what I wanted to complete the set but at least now I have a longboard Speed King!

Johnnyringo. I see your extremely helpful comment something to the tune of "he should get a book" is gone.

I'm strictly a Rogers guy, but even I recognized the Speed King frame. What's confusing me though, is that particular Standard footboard attached to the Speed King frame. I had a Standard bass pedal and a Standard high hat quite a while ago. I loved the pedal because you could easily reverse the beater and the strap attachment and turn it into a cocktail pedal. But the Standard footboard was designed to accept a strap, not the metal connector of the Speed King...

So what's up with this Standard footboard in the OP that looks like it was designed for the Speed King frame? Could it be a high hat pedal?

That was the response I got from Ludwig-dude when I asked a few question about Rogers drums. I thought, ahh, just let it go and deleted it.

That's cool. I'll delete my post. No need for a thread meant to find something out to get stupid.

You might be on to something with the Standard hi hat pedal. I just measured them and they are the same length at 11 15/16" and have the same sized slot and pin in the footboard for the metal connector.
