I am in search of a snare that is date stamped on the inside shell for Sept 3, 1958
Yes looking for a birthday snare.
Can be of any make, model, or wrap and pretty much in any condition as long as the date is very readable.
I realize this may be asking a lot, so of you have a tom, FT or bass with that exact date stamp let me know

Great to hear from you and thanks for the B-day wish.
I know, this hunt will be next to impossible but that's the fun in collecting. BTW, I picked up a 69' Ludwig 3-piece kit in Red Psychedelic that is in great condition and each of the drums has the exact same date stamp on the inside. It sounds fantastic!!!!! A great story on how I ended up with it that I'll post with the pictures. I still need to get around to a few minor polish spots to it befor I post some pics.

Need to get a new period specific front hoop, already have the wrap for the insert. Am also repurposing a 66 pioneer that the wrap is trashed with some wrap I picked up from a fellow member here on the forum. I believe the Hollywood kits came with either a second tom at 13 or 14" So the hunt is on for that. My Completist syndrome reveals its ugly head again!
Will post picks once the snare is completed and kit cleaned up.
