I just ordered a 22" Beverley ride cymbal for $40 shipped. I know it is basically the same as the infamous "Krut" cymbals, lol I know the are considered as some very low-end cymbals...but has anyone owned a 22" ride? I'm thinking it will probably be a very thin cymbal, which is what I am looking for. I have a 18" Krut crash that actually sounds pretty decent...here is a demo I did of it. Beverley 22" Ride
 Beverley, Krut, Paiste/Ludwig Standard, Zyn NON-5-Star, Paiste Stambul, are all nickle-silver alloy.....and to me they all sound pretty bad. Most are gongy and harsh and these are the thin ones!
To each is own I guess though......
When I was 13 years old, they were awesome! Not so much now.
There are surprises out there though, maybe.
A 22" Beverley for $40 is a good price, IMO.
I was able to get rid of a 20" for that price.
I figure...if I don't like it, I can at least get my money back on eBay.
Got the cymbal...here is a demo: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3ESviliaeQ"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3ESviliaeQ[/ame]
How do you like it?
To me, it sounds a little tinny and harsh to use on a lighter gig, but not big or ballsy enough to use on a loud gig. It's a cymbal caught in no man's land.
I have a 22 inch Krut
Some Sweet Spots and some Sour Patches..... got it cheap...lol
