STAR Project

Loading...

Some time ago I picked up some vintage STAR shells and decided to start a little project. The net result is what I call my "Psychedelic '60s Citrus Mod Rat Fink" kit (lol). I thought I'd share a few pics. I had a lot of fun with this one but couldn't have completed it without the help of several forum members, especially RALF, who provided some extremely hard to locate original components which I desperately needed. Thanks to all for your input!

Very cool! I love my Star kit. I'm assuming it's a re-wrap? If so, where did you get the wrap from?

Very cool! I play with a big Star kit with two toms, a cocktail as another floor tom and a fifteen inch marcher used as a deep tom. I cheat a bit though. My snare is a late seventies Supra. Beautiful job!!!

Yes, it's a re-wrap. I got the wrap from "Bumwrap".

OldSchool Thank you for the reply

May I ask, what was your total cost to wrap the drums ?

The total for the wrap was $133.00 plus shipping. That was for an 8x12 rack tom, 16x16 floor tom and 14x20 bass drum.
