Yep! I believe it was Elvis Costello who asked Ringo what his favourite Beatles song was and Ringo replied, "Rain". Probably the closest to a solo we know of. Thanks for posting johnnyringo!!!

I spent many an hour working on that song in my youth, to this day my snare is tuned like that, I hated the deep, flat sound of the early 80s.
I always thought Bill Bruford's snare drum sound on this was the best I ever heard.......still trying to get that sound
