I was given this Tama imperiastar as payment for a show. I'm not a drummer and don't really know alot about drums but know how to play and fill in for bands time to time . Any information would help. Serial number 61574

Tama Kingbeat with parallel throw.

Early to mid 80's.

$150 to $250.

The ones with the regular extended throw fetch more because they aren't as tweaky.

That one is in not so good shape,so think lower end of pricing scheme.

Probably between 74 -79.

I don't remember the Imps being natural finish.

So it may have had the wrap stripped.

They guy I got it from stripped the wrap it had sun damage so he put a clear coat on It . Does that affect the sound or value?

Are you saying you received a complete Imperialstar drum kit? Can you post pictures of the toms and bass drum? As previously stated, the snare drum is the early version King Beat, from the later 70's. Also appears to have parts missing from one side of the strainer mechanism. Anything missing from the other side? I'm guessing that the original snare wires are also missing?

Pretty much lowers the value by a lot.

Looking at what you have ,I would say $300 to $350 for everything.
