I must be the luckiest guy..........this snare came with my Super Classic kit in 1968. It's chrome on aluminum no AG stamp. The attached photo taken one month ago. Absolutely zero corrosion or spalling. WOW

My 68 supra is also in a similar condition.....and its been gigged with regularly for nearly all of its 50 years......Yes Sir:p

It was, as my champagne kit came with one too ,and it’s sparkelicious

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies

I have a couple of snares from 69 that look like that. I think some of the best Ludwig drums came from 68-69.

You guys are lucky - here’s my 1968 Super Sensitive! I found it like this - badly pitted but all original. Sounds really great!
