Right, and he destroyed the value by adding a "Swerv-o-matic" Rogers tom holder. The seller wants almost $2500? He's smoked too much crack cocaine. Sorry, he's delusional. Nice set, but overpriced, IMO.

This kit has been listed before at a greater than or equal price as it is now. My thoughts also were that for most of us who would pay that we normally want "factory mounts", a rare finish, or particular sizes. This one does not seem to check many of those boxes but I am also not big into Slingerland.

Sonor SQ2 10 14 18 American Walnut
L.A. Camco 12 14 18 Moss Green
Gretsch Round Badge 12 14 18 w/snare Champagne
Gretsch Round Badge 12 14 20 w/snare Burgundy

i'd choose Rogers swivo-matic over set-o-matic anyday. Even on Slingerlands!

Glenn.

I don't think his price is unreasonable if the kit is as he decribes and with the nice cymbals.

It's odd that he doesn't have original stands in pictures, those look modern.

This set also came from Henry Adler's shop. It came to me with drum heads stamped with the store's logo. As much as I love the Rogers mounts from the period when these great 1963 SlingerLeedy drums were made, I'm glad that the "Swervomatic" fittings were not put on this Shelly Manne drum set.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
