You should check out the Paiste website (paiste.com). They have great sound clips of all series of Paiste cymbals. They also make it easy to compare cymbal sounds without having to click through multiple web pages at a time (and in the process forgetting what the last cymbal you listened to sounded like). The sound clips are very clear and are true to sound. I recently bought a few of the 2002 series cymbals (15'' sound edge hi hat, 22'' ride, 18'' and 20 '' medium crashes) and they sound great. Good luck and enjoy those sound clips!James
Thanks James. I listened to samples on the site and narrowed it down to the following.
2002 17" thin crash
2002 19" crash
2002 20" ride
2002 15" sound edge
Based on the sound samples, all of these cymbals compliment each other very well. At least I hope they do because I already found all of the above used and all for a total of $550.00 shipped. To late to turn back now. I already recieved the hats and am waiting for the rest.
If anyone wants to go to the Paiste site and listen to the cymbals I have chosen and then give me feed back (good or bad is fine) that would be cool.
