Hello fabrizios!

This kit looks like it could be either the Modern Solo 2R or New Rock Outfit 50N. Both kits are identical, except for the hardware package. The Modern Solo came with flush-base stands, while the New Rock came with tripod-base stands.

Based on the aluminum bass drum mount and transition black/silver badges (with the cursive "S") I believe the kit to be a 1970. That badge was only used less than a year in 1970. By 1970, all Setomatic mounts were chrome, but there were probably still some aluminum mounts being used up.

If the kit is in good condition, with no extra holes, and only requiring a good cleaning, I'd say it could easily be worth around $800. Let's see what others have to say.

Either the set originally had two mounted toms, or the double tom mount replaced the correct single tom mount, or the bottom tom in the stack is another mounted tom instead of a floor tom and the floor tom is missing. However, the above estimate of the value is unfortunately about $100 to high if there is no floor tom.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

+1 with Mark. Mid 1970 with that transition badge. What are the serial numbers? Appears to be a 22" BD with two mounted toms. Is there a matching FT? The FT in the picture looks to be COW.

I,m with Mark,

It appears to me to be a Modern Solo, by looking at the stands. With it needing some repairs, cleaning, missing rim on bass, missing floor tom, not orginal snare, I would put the selling price of around, 300 to 500 dollars. Not to say they could be worth more if repaired, cleaned, and find a period correct floor tom. After me point a great pearl orange sparkle set, I have researched, this set. Thanks Mark, for your advise .

Better picture(s) needed for positive ID but snare appears to be original Krupa Sound King. Serials for Bass, snare and toms?

From FFR428

Snare looks more like a Pearl to me.

Definitely not a Sound King. I would still like to know what drums are included. Hope the OP can be more specific.

Agreed, not the original snare. I stand corrected. I got lulled to sleep on that one. Thanks Iamdrummer, Glenn and Mark.
