I hear ya! I would never gig again with a double bass, but sometimes I'll throw another bass in the setup and practice with it just for nostalgia... back to the days before double pedals. And I don't care what the kids nowadays say, double pedals aren't the same as playing a double bass. First, there's a different feel to playing two separate basses, and of course, you can't get two different pitches with a double pedal hitting the same bass.

I use to do that when I had the drums my best was the ss octa

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Ha, I'd never use this set up on a gig. I'm not a huge fan of double bass, but it does give you quite a work out.Sumo Dude
