Being told to learn a song exactly like the record, going home putting in a lot of time to get every note down, then on the next practice being told,, thats not right! Happened may times.

Thank you!

and pet peeve #2 for me:Non-drummers' CL or Ebay listings showing only the heads, as if that's the most important thing about a drum....[Attachment: 118454]Any idea what this snare might be?Mike

shopgoodwill.com is the worst for that with snare drums. Five pictures of the heads, maybe two or three of the case if there is one.

If you are lucky you can see through the bottom head well enough to guess what kind of snare drum it is. Count the number of lugs, if there's 10 maybe it's a Supra.

1971 Ludwig Rock Duo set in Blue Oyster Pearl
early Mapex dual bass drum Saturn kit
1964 Leedy Ray  Mosca kit in Blue Sparkle
1959 Slingerland Super Gene Krupa snare in WMP
1968 Slingerland Hollywood Ace Snare Drum
1969 and 1977 Ludwig 400 Supraphonic snares
1965 Acrolite snare
Ludwig Coliseum snare
'68 Rogers Dynasonic snare
Pearl free floating piccolo snare
13" Mapex piccolo snare
6.5" deep Mapex steel snare
Mapex 6.5" Brass snare
I know there's more snares than that.
UFIP cymbals / Avedis Zildjians
Ghost pedals or Tama King Beats

Colored/painted sticks, the paint always chips off making them look like crap & leaves marks on the heads.

Most of mine have been included in this thread..

-I'd add the cleaning up of vintage cymbals... to the point where they're shiny like new.

-I tend to position the logo of a drumhead between the lugs where the badge is located.. it bothers me for some reason when it isn't this way.

-Drummers playing too damn loud for the room/band.

I used to have pet peeves. They started to breed like rabbits and got rabid. I had to put them down before they killed me. Now I just chant happy Buddhist mantras......

Wanted: Pearl President floor tom in Golden Grain wrap and rack tom in Tiger Eye (root beer) wrap.
