1920 Leedy Elite Engraved Snare

Loading...

I picked up this beautiful 1920’s Leedy Elite snare drum from good friend and vintage collector Stephen Hillman at the CT Drum show this past weekend. In the day this is was a deluxe model drum, making it one of the most expensive drums in the Leedy product line. The drum is 5x14” with a black nickel over brass shell featuring Leedy’s “Nobby Gold” finish and engraving. Definitely the new gem in my collection !

Mike,

NICE! Did you buy that before we did our photo op in front of Big Blue? I would have liked to have seen that up close. Congrats on a fine acquisition.

I didn't buy anything at the show. I've noticed the years I don't make any purchases coincide perfectly with the years my wife joins me at the show :(.

Hi Michael,

I would of like to get a glimpse of that one also.

I have a 4x14 white elite.

I did end up buying a super nice Mahogany W&A snare from Jeremy at the show.

Thanks for sharing.

Hey Mike

I got it just after we met up. Not only is it in beautiful shape is sounds really sweet. I have a feeling I just caught the bug for engraved snares. The forum might see a few of the herd come up for sale to feed that addiction Yes Sir
