This seems kind of fishy for the price and it has been on CL for a long time.

What is it worth?

These sold for $650 new, but they didn't sound very good. If you want a unique player's kit, hold off for something nicer sounding. If, for some reason, you think these will be collectible in the future, and want to store it for years, then go for it. Who knows, it might be the next "top hat and cane" kit...

These are the old Accent series drums revamped with a new name. They sound ok......I'd hold out for something less gaudy than these though....

Geez! Those are UGLY. What the heck? Did someone on the Ludwig design department wander into a tattoo parlor in a drunken stupor and convince himself that he'd hit the jackpot on wrap design? Freekin' bad idea.

Nothing says "Ludwig Quality" like a debil and a skull...oh yeah...stupid.

Just a side note for my fellow drummers. This kit was designed by Corey Miiler of "LA Ink" fame. Ludwig is doing different things to attract the young drummer and this is one of them. On a side note, Corey Miller's tattoo shop is in Upland, California, a stone's throw from L.A., how does this all fit in?, Very easy grasshopper. Todd Trent, who owns a music store in Ontario, aptly called Ontario Music, which also houses Todd Trent's Drum Oasis. For those of you who don't know Todd, he was Artist Relations with Ludwig Drums for at least 20 years, not only that, Corey's tattoo shop is, as the crow flies, not more than a few miles from Ontario Music. Get the picture? Todd has a few tattoos and I'd be willing to bet one is from Corey. Also, when Todd opened his new drum shop, Corey, along with Frankie Banali and Bermuda Schwartz, were at the Grand Opening. I'd bet a cold 6-pack that Todd had a little to do with the fact those drums were designed by Corey and that Ludwig made them to appeal to a certain demographic.

Just a little story you might not of known.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

I wonder if it is true about the only time Ludwig ever offered a 22x22 kick.

The thing may sound pretty good. But I myself do not like the finish. Maybe if I played a heavier type of music it would fit in. I thought that it being a

100th anniversary set that it may have had a lot more put into it than just a crazy finish.
