Sounds great Butchie, let me know. I am surprised that haven't had some kind of show or helped sponsor one.

Vibes I spoke with Jeff today who said that he never thought about it but liked the idea. My fingers are crossed.

You are right about any "vintage" show actually being a custom show. There are so many new builders they are tripping over their feet to get noticed. I wish them well.

Vintage guys with real nice gear wont bring the A stuff to shows, that's at home on a shelf, behind glass. What they do bring is gear that has been repaired, or modified, or changed in any way. This is not the real deal to them, so they can let it go, and often enough they like to trade this gear for something they need for another shell.

I,ve seen guys bring more gear to a show that's actually roped off with "DO NOT TOUCH" signs everywhere, than drums for sale.

Show n tell ended in grade 3 for me!Laughing H

For many years all us dealers at the Chicago Show were encouraged to bring display items and rarities to help educate buyers and show rare stuff to the public. That's part of the drum show. Sorry you don't like it but there ya go....B-)

A lot of less expensive stuff is sold at the Chicago Show because that's what sells. Most people seeking drums at the show don't mind a few extra holes if the price is dirt cheap.
